eCampus News logo

eCmapus New has a piece about the new study by the Association for College and University Technology Advancement (ACUTA).  The study indicates the 4 largest categories of devices that use up bandwidth in higher education. The four culprits are not really surprising:

  1. Laptops
  2. Tablets
  3. Video Systems
  4. Smartphones

Obviously video cuts across all 4 of these items, so it is not surprising that one estimate is that 87.7 percent of bandwidth usage in the realm of TV and video content.
