Gralla, 13-Inch iPad Could Kill Microsoft's Surface Tablet

Preston Gralla over at Computerworld.com writes that a 13-inch iPad could kill off Microsoft’s struggling Surface tablet.  He sees it as a two-in-one device, since someone with a tablet that big will probably want to use if for more than just apps, but more likely as a tablet and a laptop.  Interesting take . . .

Microsoft Writes Off Nearly $1 Billion On the Surface RT Bomb

Computerworld is reporting that Microsoft just announced a $900 million charge for “inventory adjustments” related to the Surface RT.  The RT was released last year has has been a “poor-selling tablet.”  Microsoft has been offering steep discounts on the tablet with runs the RT (scaled down version) of Windows 8.
